Former Tiger Chris Haddock Now Coaching Centreville High

Below is an article from www.fairfaxtimes.com on Chris Haddock.  Haddock graduated from Hampden Sydney in 1993.

Sitting atop Centreville High School head football coach Chris Haddock's file cabinet is a relic from his former job as coach of the Fairfax High School football team.
It's a football emblazoned with a giant blue "F." The ball is signed by every player of the Fairfax team and reads "First win!"
"I'm not even sure what the score was," Haddock said. "But it was a pretty special moment to get that from the kids."...

10 Days til Kickoff

When I started this blog football season was a long ways off for most people - NOT ANY MORE!  With only 10 days til kickoff the players and coaches have nothing on their minds but being ready to play next Saturday at Averett.  Let's show our appreciation of the Tigers by showing up in large numbers to welcome in the 2010 season.

Here's a quote Alfred Hitchcok on anticipation that sums up my feelings about every upcoming football season -

There is no terror in the bang, only in the anticipation of it.

20 Days til Game Time!

Camp is under way and the players and coaches are all working very hard.  The team ow has less than 20 days to be prepared to play Averett University in Danville, VA.

I am confident we will see a determined Tiger team come September 4th!

Remember this quote on preparation from - Urban Myer
“I have yet to be in a game where luck was involved. Well-prepared players make plays. I have yet to be in a game where the most prepared team didn't win.”y
